Dear Mr. Jack,

I am writing this email to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for your teaching and help when I was learning this short-term course.

我写这封邮件是为了表达自己在学习这门短期课程期间对你的教学和帮助的衷心感谢。

As you may know, at the very beginning of this course, I felt very nervous while speaking English in front of everyone, especially considering the fact that I was the oldest student in our class. It was your patience and encouragement that rebuilt my confidence about English learning.

如你所知，在课程最开始的时候，我当众说英语感到十分紧张，特别是考虑到我是咱们班年纪最大的学员。正是你的耐心和鼓励重塑了我的信心。

One more important thing is that I am planning to continue learning the Advanced English Course. Hopefully, I could meet you again and speak English more fluently with your encouragement.

另外，我计划继续学习高级英语课程，我希望能再次见到你，并且在你的鼓励下把英语讲得更流利。
